Reflecting on an unforgettable AssetRush event

On 29 May, our CEO Dr Stephan A. Zwahlen took the stage at Kaufleuten to share Maerki Baumann's exciting journey over the past 5 years.

In March we celebrated the 5th anniversary of our pioneering crypto strategy and proudly launched our new crypto brand ARCHIP. The event was attended by almost 700 people, including clients, business partners, journalists and key figures from the Swiss crypto industry.

But, how did it happen that Maerki Baumann became one of the crypto pioneers in Swiss banking? At the beginning, a coincidence opened our eyes. After an interview where we showed openness to accept fiat money with a crypto background, a journalist misquoted that we were the first bank in Europe to accept crypto currencies.

Today, Maerki Baumann builds a bridge between traditional finance and digital assets, with a dedicated Tech banking team serving nearly 500 corporate clients and hundreds of young, wealthy individuals. Our commitment to innovation and technology has transformed our culture and reduced the average age of our private clients by 12 years.

ARCHIP stands for our crypto expertise, combining “ARC” for bridge building and “CHIP” for technology affinity.

Stephan Zwahlen concluded his speech with the following recommendation: “Be open to disruptive technologies and innovation. And focus on your core competence and collaborate.”
